Season 2 is the second season of Hatchimals CollEGGtibles. It was released in 2017. It introduced more new species and several new Hatchtopia locations. There were 125 Hatchimals total in this season.

Forest[]
The forest family has hatchimals based on animals from woodland areas. Posswift, owling, and moosebeak were all new for this season. Raspoon, foxfin, deeraloo, and hummingbear all returned from the previous season. Forest eggs have green speckles.
Farm[]
The farm family is based around farm animals. Llamaloon, donkemu, macow, nightengoat, and chickchaff were all new species. Ponette returned from the previous season. Farm eggs have red speckles.
Jungle[]
The jungle family has species based on jungle animals. Toucoo, anteagle, chameloon, and gorillabee are all new species. Tigrette and pandor returned from the previous season. Jungle eggs have purple speckles.
Garden[]
The garden family is based on animals you would find around gardens. Butterpuff, dragonflip, frowl, and beebull are all new species. Bunwee and mouseswift returned from the previous season. Garden eggs have pink speckles.
River[]
River family Hatchimals are based on animals you would find in or around rivers. Beavery and figeon are new species. Hiphatch, duckle, and swotter returned from the previous season. River eggs have teal speckles (Easily confused with ocean or Crystal Canyon).
Savannah[]
The savannah family is based around savannah animals. Cheetree is a new species. Girreo, zebrush, rhooby, elefly, and draggle all returned from the previous season. Savannah eggs have yellow speckles.
Desert[]
the Desert family is based around desert animals. Sandsnake, kangaroose, camelark, and armadillark are all new species. Desert eggs have orange speckles.
Ocean[]
The ocean family is based on ocean animals. Seaspoon and octapitta are new species. Penguala, dolfinch, and crabler all returned from the previous season. Ocean eggs have blue speckles (Easily confused with Crystal Canyon or river).
Snowflake Shire[]
The Snowflake Shire family is based on the Snowflake Shire location in Hatchtopia. All of the Snowflake Shire hatchimals are pearlescent and have a blue and white color scheme. Narwarbler and belugull are new species. The rest of the species returned from the previous season. Snowflake Shire eggs have white speckles.
Crystal Canyon[]
Crystal Canyon hatchimals are based on the Crystal Canyon location from Hatchtopia. The Crystal Canyon hatchimals are translucent. All of the hatchimals in it are from other season 2 families except foxfin which returned from the previous season. Crystal Canyon eggs have indigo speckles (Easily confused with ocean or river).
Magical Meadow[]
Magical Meadow hatchimals are based on the Magical Meadow location from Hatchtopia. All of them have flocking and are based on domestic animals. They are the limited edition family for this season. Hamstar, farrow, and budgiby are new species. Kittycan and puppit returned from the previous season. Magical Meadow eggs have magenta speckles.
Moonlight Mountain[]
The only moonlight mountain hatchimal was the golden lynx, an extremely rare hatchimal with only 250 copies being produced.

Exclusive to 12-Pack Carton[]
Every 12 pack egg carton comes with one of two exclusive flamingoose out of egg. They were not shown on the checklist.
Citrus Coast (2-Pack Carton Exclusive)[]
The Citrus Coast family is based on Citrus Coast and is exclusive to the 2 pack egg carton. All of the hatchimals in this family have citrus themed colors and glitter on their bellies. All of the hatchimal species in this family are from other Season 2 families except draggle and skunkle which returned from the previous season. Citrus Coast eggs have neon yellow speckles. Citrus Coast was not shown on the main Season 2 checklist and instead came with its own checklist.
Owlicorn (Toys R Us Exclusive)[]
These are exclusive to the Toys R Us owlicorn 2 pack. They are based on the owlicorn species from the electronic pet line. They came in eggs with light teal speckles. The owlicorns were not shown on the main Season 2 checklist and instead came with their own checklist.
Burtle (Walmart Exclusive)[]
These came in the Walmart exclusive burtle four pack + bonus. They are based on the burtle species from the electronic pet line. The blue burtle comes out of egg and the rest are in the egg. The eggs have pink speckles with glitter on them. The burtles were not shown on the main Season 2 checklist and instead came with their own checklist.
Bearakeet (Target Exclusive)[]
These came in the Target exclusive bearakeet 1 pack. They are based on the bearakeet species from the electronic pet line. The eggs have white speckles. The bearakeets were not shown on the main Season 2 checklist and instead came with their own checklist.
Collector pack exclusives(not in main series)[]
Diamond Lynx[]
The Diamond Lynx was an exclusive hatchimal you could only get in the Diamond Lynx collectors pack. It uses the same mold as the Golden Lynx but is not nearly as rare. Comes in a solid silver egg.
Snack Squad Rhooby[]
An exclusive purple snack squad rhooby was released for the star unboxing kit. this figure alone is pretty hard to come by, but not impossible

A single hatchimal in a blind bag. The egg comes in a plastic case so it doesn't get damaged before opening. The egg is not visible from in the packaging so you can't tell what family you will get.
2 Pack + Nest[]
Comes with two hatchimals and a nest.
4 Pack + Bonus[]
Comes with four hatchimals in egg and one out of egg. The out of egg hatchimal is visible from inside the packaging.
12 Pack Egg Carton[]
Comes with twelve hatchimals ten in egg and two out of egg. One of the out of egg hatchimals will be an exclusive flamingoose. The egg carton can be reused as storage.
Citrus Coast 2 Pack Egg Carton[]
Comes with two hatchimals from the exclusive Citrus Coast family. Also comes with its own checklist. The egg carton can be reused as storage.
Bearakeet 1 Pack (Target Exclusive)[]
Comes with one of five exclusive bearakeets. Also comes with its own checklist.
Owlicorn 2 Pack + Nest (Toys R Us Exclusive)[]
Comes with two of the six exclusive owlicorns and a special crystal nest. The nest can come in either purple, teal, or blue. Also comes with its own checklist.
Burtle 4 Pack + Bonus (Walmart Exclusive)[]
Comes with five exclusive burtles, four in egg and one out of egg.
Assorted collector pack[]
This pack comes with 24 hatchimals across seasons 2, 3, and 4. when counting only season 2 figures, there are 10 to obtain in this pack. this pack has no bonus exclusives.
Star unboxing kit[]
This pack comes with 24 hatchimals as well as an exclusive snack squad rhooby. it was meant for young youtubers to record themselves opening it.
Diamond Lynx Collector Pack[]
This is a special pack that comes with 18 hatchimals including the exclusive Diamond Lynx. This set is infamous for often coming with duplicates and even triplicates of the same hatchimals.
Trivia[]
- This is the first collEGGtibles season to have all five of the original species (Penguala, draggle, bearakeet, burtle, and owlicorn).
- The Bearakeet, burtle, and owlicorn sets were exclusive to the same stores as their electronic pet equivalents.
- Donkemu was originally going to debut in the Season 1 Glittering Garden family but it was scrapped in favor of walwren.
- All of the species in the desert family for this season are new.
- Half of the Crystal Canyon hatchimals are blue.
- A pink koalabee was supposed to be in this season, but was scrapped later on.
