These are the rules for the wiki. If you break them you will be warned and possibly blocked depending on how severe the offense is.
Follow Fandom TOS
Make sure to follow all Fandom Guidelines when using the wiki. Any violations of TOS will be reported to Fandom.
No Sharing Personal Information
Do not give out or ask for personal information such as:
- Age
- Phone Number
- Full Name
- Where you live
- What school you go to
- Account Password
Posts containing or asking for personal information will be removed. This includes "guess my age" and similar posts.
Don't be a Jerk
Always be respectful to other users and admins even if you disagree If you have a disagreement about something try to talk it out with them reasonably. Do not harass other users if you disagree with them over something. This wiki is still unfinished and complaints about it being unfinished are NOT helpful.
No Admin Abuse
Admins/Moderators are subject to the same rules as regular editors. If you are found to be abusing admin or giving unjustified blocks you will be blocked and your privileges will be removed. Users that have demonstrated they are not able to use admin privileges responsibly will not be re-promoted.
Unofficial Content
This wiki is about Hatchimals so the main focus of the content should be around Hatchimals. Mentions of other toylines on pages are allowed for only a few specific reasons.
- Other Spinmaster toys that are similar to Hatchimals to the point where they can be considered a spinoff (Example: Dragamonz)
- Other Spinmaster toys that had concepts that were later reused in Hatchimals (Example: Flutterbye Fairy)
- Directly comparing aspects of Hatchimals to other toylines (Example: The Hatchimals craze was similar to the Furby craze)
This Wiki is for official content only so fanmade/fannon content is not allowed on pages. Bootlegs are not considered fanmade so content about them is allowed.
No Misinformation
Do not intentionally spread misinformation or add it to pages. When making content about new releases make sure the information is confirmed by an official source before adding it.
No Vandalism
Do not intentionally make edits that are harmful/unhelpful to the wiki. This can include:
- Blanking pages
- Adding gibberish to pages
- Adding false information on purpose
No Sockpuppeting
Do not make extra accounts to harass people or get around blocks. If there is reason to believe you are using multiple accounts the extra accounts will be permanently blocked and any existing blocks on the main account will be extended. You are only allowed to have ONE account on this wiki.
No Spam
Do not make repetitive/disruptive posts. This can include:
- Making many identical/similar posts or replies within a short period of time
- Off topic replies to posts
- Gibberish posts
- Making too many posts on a users wall to the point of annoyance
Posts that are considered spam will be removed.
Moderation System
Most first time violations will result in a warning (message from an admin/mod left on wall) reminding the user of the rules. If the user persists with violating rules after the warning they will receive a block for each subsequent rule violation:
- 1st Violation (After Warning): 3 Day Block
- 2nd Violation: 1 Week Block
- 3rd Violation: 1 Month Block
- 4th Violation: 3 Month Block
- 5th Violation: Permanent Block
Violations that will lead to an immediate 3 Day Block:
- Severe Vandalism (Effects important pages and is likely to be seen by a lot of people)
Note: If we believe that you may pose a threat to the safety of editors or the wiki as a whole you will receive an immediate permanent block and be reported to Fandom.
