Penguala is one of the main protagonists in the Hatchimals: Adventures in Hatchtopia Series. She is voiced by Andrea Libman.
She is based on Purple Penguala from the Hatch Bright series of CollEGGtibles.
Appearance[]
Penguala is a dark purple and light pink penguin, with a pale yellow beak and pale yellow feet. She has dark turquoise eyes and dark purple wings that fade to dark pink.
For almost all of Season 2, she has a medium green Mermal tail that fades to a dark purple on her fin. Her tail also changes to lime green when the water is warm.

Cheetree[]
Penguala is shown to be really close friends with Cheetree. Despite them having some major differences, like in "Everybody Dance Now", where Cheetree is shown knowing how to dance really well, and Penguala not exactly knowing how to dance as good as Cheetree, Penguala and Cheetree still show a very close bond between each other.
Also, despite the two being close friends, Penguala and Cheetree still sometimes tend to argue. In "Beach Break Up", the two end up arguing about which of the two Turtuffins to follow. They then decide to follow the Turtuffin that they helped hatch, which ended up splitting the group in two. However, in "By the Light of Moonlight Mountain" they end up missing each other. Later on, they end up meeting once again, and Penguala and Cheetree end up forgiving each other, and Cheetree says that from then on, they, along with Draggle, and Puppit, will stick together, no matter what happens to them.

Penguala is also shown to be close friends with Draggle. Though their relationship isn't shown as much as Penguala's relationship with Cheetree, Draggle and Penguala are still shown to be really close friends.

Puppit[]
Penguala, along with Cheetree and Draggle, are the Hatchimals that hatched Puppit and ever since Puppit hatched, Penguala has been showing a really close bond with her. Penguala was actually the one that welcomed Puppit to the world and introduced herself and her best friends to Puppit.

- Penguala was the first of the main characters to talk in the first episode.
- She is also the first of the main characters to appear in Season 2 of Adventures in Hatchtopia.
- In Sapphire Spa Day, two little light pink, and dark pink versions of Penguala hatch.
- In Mermal History, it was revealed that Penguala learned about about Mermals at the Daisy Schoolhouse,but she thought they were just myths, until she met Keet.
- Penguala's Pixie companion is Crystal Cassie, who made her first appearance in Crystal Clear.
